Well, I'm home now (YAY!) and it is so wonderful! However, before I can be done with the Summit there are still a few things I want to post from the end of my contract. Here is the first of these posts, of Victoria, B.C.

After our first Alaska run we went into drydock in Victoria for a week. There was something wrong with one of the ship’s propellers and we couldn’t continue without it being fixed.

Although we had to put in a couple of hours work each day, it was mostly training and cleaning in the casino, and it gave us a lot of extra time off to explore the city.

Victoria was beautiful and Jack and I got out more than we usually do… Thai food, steak house, casino (Jack won, I lost, but we had a lot of fun). We were sad to leave.

Even though I was still far from home, it was so nice to be back in Canada for a few days

I always love Chinatowns...

Well hello there Myra, it's been so long since we've spoken. I came across your blog just now for the first time and I must say I'm very much impressed. Once I read the most recent posting I was compelled to view the entire site. It's so nice to be able to get a glimpse of all the wonderful places you've been, it looks like you're really enjoying yourself. Best of luck to you dearie, and hope to see you sometime!
