Well this might seem like a jumbled post, but ELIZA is getting here TOMORROW and I want to post stuff from her cruise right away if I can. So here's some pictures I like and don't want to put off any longer... Fantastic Thai food on a hot day
Out in Kona, me, Kremi (my old roommate), Cheryl and Clive. Plumeria trees are everywhere Cheryl and Steven are gone now and I miss them so much! Can't wait to see them at home I spent a sunny afternoon in a park in Honolulu, waiting for Jack, laying in the grass and writing in my journal. Honolulu pier
There is something about the open sea that I love. The long, luminous waves, unfurling and uncurling in the wake of the ship. A few days sail out of L.A., into the middle of the Pacific ocean and the waves have stretched themselves out, the longest waves I’ve ever seen. So different from the abrupt, choppy waves of the Atlantic.
They rock the ship; harshly, when it’s rough, gently, when it’s not. They rock the ship, and I, snug in my bed in the belly of the ship, with the waves in my ears, rock too…. And dream, sometimes, of floating.
When Jack got back he had a beautiful guest cabin for a week. You entered into the bedroom, through French doors was the living room, and then outside was the big balcony, right off the end of the ship. Talk about travelling in style. We spent seven days sleeping with the patio doors open and ordering room service. Such a nice week. This is a picture of the beautiful necklace Jack brought me from Israel. It is a hamsa, meant to protect the wearer. The stone is blue opal. I love it. Steven and Cheryl came up for lunch one day. Love this picture....
